The concept for this image was to illustrate the seemingly endless problems in The Middle East.

The boiling cauldron sits firmly astride that part of the world with the then current antagonists, George W. Bush and Osama bin Laden well immersed in the cauldron. Putting Tony Blair into the pot would have made it look too cluttered so I decided to show him falling in … but from where? I cannot remember the thinking process now but initially it was from an egg and then it progressed to the planet Earth cracking open like an egg. This seemed to suggest that the Earth will go on laying more Earths which crack open and introduce new antagonists in the future as it has in the past; unless there is a radical change of direction on everyone’s part!
